This learning resource was designed for use in all types of communities and groups that are grappling with—or wish to prevent—violence. Its lessons are aimed at young people between 10 and 14 years of age, but many of the lessons have been found to be useful with persons up to 21 years of age. Participants examine the discriminatory attitudes and behavioral patterns that encourage many men and boys to be violent and reckless; they develop skills and strategies to reduce the resulting harm as well as prevent its perpetuation.

The resources on this website are not intended as health advice to individuals about their drinking. People with specific questions about their drinking are encouraged to consult a healthcare professional. Together, they can determine what is best for that individual, based on individual risk factors, including family history, genetics, and lifestyle. For some people, the better choice may be to not drink at all.
